Santa Cruz Mystery Spot… Is It Real?!
Some people online say it’s a hoax, but real or not, we loved it!
The Mystery Spot is basically a piece of land that defies gravity (or they’ve done a really good job making it seem like that). At the Mystery Spot, a rolling ball rolls uphill instead of down and people are able to lean WAY further than they would normally. My husband and I talked about how we even “felt” different –my body felt heavy and my husband felt so much pressure in his head (unlike the normal insane pressures of daily life ha!). Lots of other fun examples on the tour along with some laughs made for a great time.

The Fabulous…
- So fun whether you believe it or not
- The guides are witty and fun
- Great interacting with kids
- Inexpensive- $8. For an adult
- Group tour size is small
- They ask people in your tour for items from their purse to show examples of things rolling uphill. (That part really sold me actually!)
- Loved the feeling of leaning so far!
The Not So Fabulous…
- Some of the jokes are really wonky. I was fine with this, but if that’s not your style, there’s a lot of that. But it’s all in fun.
